The Window Plant, also known as Haworthia cymbiformis obtusa, is a charming decorative plant native to South Africa. Its bright green leaves have a unique glassy appearance, with a soft and juicy texture. This small plant produces white to pale pink flowers with brownish-green veining held on tall spikes. It forms dense rosettes around 15cm in diameter, which spread to form round, clumping mats, perfect as a groundcover.
These lovely plants are also a great addition to any indoor collection, especially on a windowsill or veranda. You can even grow them in unusual containers, such as tiny baby shoes! Be sure to use containers with adequate drainage holes. The Window Plant grows to only about 12.5cm high, making it a perfect fit for small spaces.
Caring for the Window Plant is easy; simply provide a porous potting mix and water regularly, taking care not to overwater. With its unique glassy foliage and low-maintenance needs, the Window Plant is a must-have for any plant enthusiast.
