The White Centre Maguey, or Agave americana mediopicta alba, is a medium-sized agave that grows up to 1 meter tall. It is known for its thick blue-green leaves with a bright white stripe down the center and sharp recurved spikes along the edges. This agave produces pups from the base, allowing for easy propagation and sharing with friends and family.

When in bloom, the White Centre Maguey shoots tall stems with colorful and delicate flowers spreading out across multiple stems. This agave is native to Mexico and thrives in hot and dry climates, but can also be grown in Australian gardens by mixing sand with a good quality potting mix and allowing the plant to dry out between deep watering.

This succulent is extremely drought tolerant and prefers full sun, but needs to be protected from frost in winter. Overall, the White Centre Maguey is a prized agave due to its rarity and unique appearance.
