The Sansevieria masoniana variegata, commonly known as the Variegated Mason’s Congo Paddle, is a striking statement plant that is sure to draw attention. With its large, blade-shaped foliage, this succulent is both unique and instantly recognizable. Its enormous leaves have remarkable light and dark green mottling and spots, and the bright variegated form of the famous Snake Plant also has pale yellow coloration at the leaf margins.

As a slow-growing succulent, the Variegated Mason’s Congo Paddle can reach a maximum height of about one meter, making it an excellent choice for a houseplant or a succulent garden plant. This plant is also incredibly easy to grow and can thrive on neglect. It can tolerate low light but prefers moderately bright or filtered light for the best growth and the most intense leaf colors. During the summer, it benefits from regular watering while allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

The Variegated Mason’s Congo Paddle is native to central Africa, where it is known by various common names, including Shark Fin or Whale Fin Snake Plant, Beaver Tail Sansevieria, and Variegated Mason’s Congo Paddle. This is an extremely rare and highly sought-after succulent, making it a unique and valuable addition to any plant collection.
