A gorgeous perennial succulent native to South Africa and commonly called “Trailing Jade”. This very ornamental plant forms a neat, round, subshrub with slim reddish stems up to a metre long. Its evergreen leaves are slightly toothed and coloured dark green when grown in shade. However, they will become an amazing neon green hue in full sun, with tinges of pink and yellow, and dark red margins. It blooms with masses of little star-shaped, white to pink flowers which attract bees and butterflies.

An easy to grow, drought tolerant plant, it works well as a decorative filler or groundcover and for edging and borders, but also works well as a feature plant in containers or pots. Place in full sun to very light shade, with varying light conditions changing the leaf colour. Enjoys any well-draining soil and requires minimal watering—err on the side of too dry, as overwatering is fatal.
