This succulent is grown from a cutting which makes it more economical, we also sell the rarer version that is grown from seed which forms a caudex.

A rather bizarre looking Euphorbia native to Madagascar and commonly called the “Dead Plant”. This small, perennial, leafy succuolent shrub reaches only around 15cm tall but is mat-forming and will spread horizontally along the ground. This wonderful compact variety has long, narrow branches and stems which are tightly spiralled and corky and form deep red and green rosettes. Grown for its unusual wrinkled, wavy foliage with zig-zag edges. May take on a coppery-bronze colour in summer. It also boasts many small, bell-shaped flowers of lime-green, yellow or red.

Very easy to care for, almost thriving on neglect, and doesn’t tolerate wet soil so allow soil to become dry between waterings. Ensure soil is well-draining and provide plenty of sun.

NOTE: Euphorbia’s are for ornamental purposes only. The milky sap can be toxic and can cause adverse reactions if it comes into contact with the skin or eyes. Do not ingest. Euphorbias do not typically require pruning or maintenance, but take care when handling.
