One of 10 species of this stonecrop genus native to South Africa, this perennial leaf and stem succulent branches and spreads to form low shrubs and is often used as a groundcover, though it also works very well as a display plant in containers indoors.

It features evergreen leaves which are hairy, finger-shaped, and coloured green to yellow-green, with undulating red-brown margins. Its blooms are pale peach-coloured and bell-shaped, dangling off long stems.

A great plant for the waterwise garden or rockery, it simply needs good light and adequate drainage to thrive. An easy way to provide year-round interest for your garden.

Common names: Sticky Fingers, Grey Sticks, Finger Aloe. Note that this plant may be poisonous if ingested.
