This popular plant is an adaptable hybrid of African native succulients Gasteria and Haworthia, but its exact parentage is unknown. A gorgeous little plant growing only about 10cm tall and wide, it is a long-living plant which is easy to grow, making it perfect for pots and containers and especially the beginner succulent gardener! It is characterised by its smooth, chunky, dark green leaves that are dappled with raised white spots. Leaves will form compact, non-uniform rosettes up to 20cm in diameter.

It loves a bright windowsill or veranda or is comfortable sharing a miniature succulent garden. Plant in well-drained to gravelly soil, positioned in full sun to part shade. Give minimal water—in winter, water only when soil is totally dry.
