Princess Pine, also known as Clubmoss Crassula, Rattail Crassula, Toy Cypress, Lizard’s Tail, or Zipper Plant, is a unique and attractive succulent with open, sparse leaves that make it stand out from other Crassula plants. Unlike its cousin, the Watch Chain, which has dense, closed leaves, Princess Pine is a standout for its vivid bright green foliage and unique characteristics.

Native to South Africa, Princess Pine is well-suited to hot and dry climates, making it an excellent choice for Australian gardens. It thrives in well-drained soil, so we recommend using a high-quality potting mix mixed with sand to create the ideal growing environment. This will help prevent root rot and fungal diseases, which are common issues for Crassula plants.

This small-sized succulent bush typically grows up to 30cm tall and forms a dense, wide-spread ground cover. It looks stunning in garden beds, pots, and hanging baskets, where its lush foliage can add a pop of color and texture to any space. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance and attractive succulent, Princess Pine is an excellent choice.
