A perennial, spreading succulent native to Mexico and Arizona, this wonderful Gratopetalum grows up to 15cm tall with rosettes of pale grey, pebble-like chubby leaves which turn darker colours with summer light. Spreads easily making it an excellent rockery plant. Gorgeous in a container on its own, it will spill over the edges, trailing its pretty star-shaped white flowers. Commonly called “Pearl Plant” or “Leatherpetal”, this plant provides fantastic colour and textural contrast to mixed succulent plantings.

As with all Graptopetalums, it is best established in the shade but will look best with plenty of sun. Give it a light, free draining porous soil and water regularly over summer, minimally over winter.
