A compact groundcover with stunning foliage, this succulent is a spectacular plant that actually thrives on neglect! A low-growing creeper, it reaches around 12cm tall and spreads 25cm wide. It features tight, greyish-green cushions of needles which have red tips. In summer, leaves take on a pink blush and the plant blooms with little white star-shaped flowers.

An easy care plant, place in sun or part shade in a sheltered, dry location in free draining soil. Avoid standing in water as roots do not like being wet. The bold texture of this sedum makes it a great contrast in a wide range of settings, from containers to rock gardens to green roofs to beds and borders. They look beautiful on the sides of sloping birdhouse roofs.

Native to Europe and West and North Asia.
