Adorable plant, perfect for beginners as it is very easy care. Reaching only about 13cm high and 10cm wide, this plant features broad, fleshy, oval leaves that are striped in shade of plastic-looking green. Each leaf is adorned with raised, wart-like bumps, giving it its name. This gasteria is shallow-rooted and relatively slow-growing, and will clump up slowly.

A fun succulent that is ideal for rockeries but also happy indoors in pots. Minimal watering is needed, in well-drained soil. It’s best to use the soak and dry method (drying plant out between waterings). Place in full sun to achieve its most attractive colouring, but it will also tolerate partial shade and will succeed indoors if given sufficient light. A cross between Gasteria batesiana and Gasteria ‘Old Man Silver’, created by the Australian hybridiser David Cumming.
