Among the most popular succulents in cultivation, this tender soft succulent has fleshy silver-blue rosettes with long pointed leaves and star-shaped bright coloured flowers. Small (around 15cm tall), it is multi-branched with very thin woody stems. This is an intergeneric cross between Pachyphytum and Echeveria, both species which are native to Mexico and are attractive, popular pot and landscape plants. Hookeri is very similar to Echeveria but has more compact rosettes.

Easy to care for and drought tolerant, it grows well in full sun to part shade and looks beautiful on a windowsill, but also looks impressive in rockeries, wall crevices and planted with other succulents in a display.
