This Tanzanian native is a stunning ornamental succulent shrub with a gorgeous, light green surface and bright red or yellow spines. Stems have four sides and have clear or wavy edges, while flowers are tiny yellow, trumpet-shaped, growing next to thorns. A perennial evergreen, it grows to about 30cm high. One of more than 2000 species of Euphorbia, this one is a desert growing succulent and requires full sun to partial sun, which will also help it retain its compact shape.

It needs regular watering in summer and likes to be kept dry in winter. Thrives with well drained soil and good airflow

NOTE: Euphorbia’s are for ornamental purposes only. The milky sap can be toxic and can cause adverse reactions if it comes into contact with the skin or eyes. Do not ingest. Euphorbias do not typically require pruning or maintenance, but take care when handling.
