Haworthia attenuata glabrata, commonly known as Glabrata, is a dainty and slow-growing succulent that’s incredibly hardy and low-maintenance. Its unique shape and coloration make it a popular choice for succulent arrangements, such as bonsai or fairy gardens, and it also makes for a perfect gift for the home or office desk.
While there are several Haworthia species that may look similar to Glabrata, this branching succulent can be distinguished by its distinctive textured flattop leaves. Originating from South Africa, Glabrata thrives in well-drained, drier conditions and makes a stunning display when grown in clusters in a wide and shallow pot or tray. As the mother plant sends off pups over time, the clusters will gradually spread and fill up their container.
Despite only growing to a height of approximately 15cm, the Glabrata is a great miniature succulent that continues to clump out and expand in its environment. It features more branching than most Haworthia species, giving it a wild and natural appearance that looks great even when it outgrows its pot. With its low-maintenance needs and unique appearance, the Glabrata is an excellent choice for any succulent enthusiast looking for a stunning and hardy addition to their collection.
