An undemanding plant, this Euphorbia is a dwarf spiny succulent shrublet, characterised by its unusual gnarled, serpentine caudex topped with cascading stems of up to a metre long, which eventually droop under their own weight to appear scrambling. The stems are thin and square, with two tone variegation (light and dark grey-green). A rapid grower, it produces amazing tuberous roots and is regarded as a great introduction to caudex plants because of its reputation for being indestructible.

Very easy to grow, tolerating almost all conditions including low light, and surviving prolonged neglect. However, it grows best under very bright light and warm temperatures. Looks beautiful displayed in a bonsai pot. Native to Mozambique, South Africa and Swaziland.

NOTE: Euphorbia’s are for ornamental purposes only. The milky sap can be toxic and can cause adverse reactions if it comes into contact with the skin or eyes. Do not ingest. Euphorbias do not typically require pruning or maintenance, but take care when handling.
