Common Names: Crested Green Coral, Crested Medusa’s Head

Description: Crested varieties of succulents occur as a genetic mutation to the structure of the plant and are very rare and highly sought after.

The Crested Green Coral forms dense curled fan shaped branches with peculiar bumpy bumps. Even the crested variety still will typically produce some of the characteristics of it’s non crested form –  a central conical or cylindrical caudex with many tentacle-like branches (hence the common name Medusa’s Head) and soft, narrow, deep green stems with very long leaves

Flowers: Yellow-green flower clusters. This euphorbia is not known for it’s flowers, they are insignificant and almost go unnoticed. This succulent is more known for its structure.

Size: 15cm tall and 30cm wide.

Growing Season: Summer

Origin: While the Euphorbia family stem from Africa, this cultivar is of garden origin.

Positioning: It has been bred to be easy to grow and is suited to a range of light and sun conditions. Will thrive in a full sun position.

Care Instructions: Euphorbia’s require a well draining soil as they do not tollerate sitting in wet for prolonged periods of time. Allow the soil to completely dry out between thorough watering.

NOTE: Euphorbia’s are for ornamental purposes only. The milky sap can be toxic and can cause adverse reactions if it comes into contact with the skin or eyes. Do not ingest. Euphorbias do not typically require pruning or maintenance, but take care when handling.
