The name Gasteraloe lets you know that this is a hybrid of the Gasteria and Aloe plants. It’s a cute little succulent that’s extremely good in containers and gardens and can handle any amount of shade or sun outdoors; but indoors place in a well-lit spot. Easy to grow to around 30cm both in diameter and height. Watering once a week is plenty. Small, shallow roots so are usually grown in clusters in wide, shallow dishes.

Like most succulents, Cosmo doesn’t like soggy roots so err on the side of neglect when it comes to watering. Leaves are a rich, deep green, fleshy and speckled and will form a dense rosette; flowers are orange-red, cylindrical and rise on spikes.
