The Agave americana, also known as the Century Plant, is a magnificent succulent that can grow up to 3 meters tall. After about 10-30 years, it sends up a tall stem with branches of breathtaking yellow blossoms, which can reach heights of up to 9 meters. Witnessing this agave in bloom is a rare spectacle, as it only flowers once in its lifetime before dying.

Native to Southwestern USA and Mexico, the Century Plant thrives in hot and dry climates and prefers full sun positions. This succulent is extremely drought-tolerant and requires little maintenance once established.

The Century Plant features long gray-green solid-colored leaves, each with prickly edges and a single prominent sharp spike at the tip. These leaves can reach up to 1.5 meters in length, making for an impressive sight.

Overall, the Century Plant is a striking and low-maintenance succulent that adds a touch of drama to any landscape. Its magnificent blooms and hardy nature make it a great addition to any garden or outdoor space.
