The Century Plant Variegata, also known as Agave americana variegata, is an impressive succulent that can grow up to 3 meters in height. It is commonly referred to as American Agave, American Century Plant, Variegated American Century Plant, American Aloe, Maguey, or Sentry Plant. After 10 to 30 years, it will send up a tall stem with branches of beautiful yellow blossoms that can reach up to 9 meters tall. Witnessing this agave in flower is a rare and breathtaking spectacle, as it will only bloom once in its lifetime and then die.

This succulent is native to the southwestern United States and Mexico, where it thrives in hot and dry climates. It does well in full sun positions and is extremely drought-tolerant, making it an ideal plant for low-maintenance landscaping. The Century Plant Variegata is a large variety of agave with long, gray-green leaves that have contrasting creamy-yellow markings which stretch the length of each leaf. Each leaf can reach up to 1.5 meters in length, with prickly edges and a singular prominent sharp spike at the tip. Its striking appearance and impressive size make it an eye-catching addition to any garden or landscape.
