Originally from Mexico, Echeveria nodulosa is a small branched sub-shrub to around 20cm high. With stunning foliage colours with colourful markings, it is an erect succulent. Stems are and 60cm long and olive green rosettes are up to 12cm wide and marked with bright red colour on the margins and at the centre. When blooming, the plant produces pale yellow flowers with red markings that have a beautiful “painted” appearance.
Painted Echeveria is easy to grow provided soil is well drained. Likes sun or part shade in hot summery regions. If indoors, provide a brightly lit spot. Will grow as large as a container allows. Occasional watering only and expect a moderate growth rate. Incredibly beautiful garden plant or houseplant. Will also attract hummingbirds giving your garden a bit of a buzz!
