This Mexican and southern American native is part of the Graptoveria genus which is a hybrid between Graptopetalum and Echeveria. Big Brother is a brilliantly coloured, stemless, clump-forming succulent that grows around 15cm tall. Rosettes have stubby grey-green leaves, but the colour of this succulent changes, with it turning a strong shade of pink in full sun, and a bluish hue in shade.

Easy to grow, it likes full sun to part shade, good drainage and limited watering. Soil quality can be poor and this plant will still thrive. Stunning in a mass planting in a landscape garden, Big Brother is also ideal in pots and tubs on balconies or in the courtyard as part of a succulent arrangement.
