Also known as “Succulent Swedish Ivy” and “Pillow Plant”, this tiny perennial succulent is native to South Africa and is popular as an ornamental foliage. Growing up to 20cm tall, it is a creeping succulent with many-branched stems which form a dense, velvety, furry, mat. Its proliferation of small, chubby, lime-green leaves with toothed margins and tiny white-violet tinged flowers make it an ideal element in succulent wreaths, topiaries and bonsai settings but it also looks amazing in a hanging basket, where it forms a mound with cascading stems.

This plant likes partial shade but can do well in full sun, and n bright light, lines of purple appear on the leaf edges. In its natural habitat it is harvested from the wild for medicinal purposes.
